Link your online accounts

You can now access your Council Tax, Housing Benefit and Council Tax support details online. This includes:

Council Tax:

  • View your Council Tax details online
  • Access your Council Tax bills and sign up for e-billing
  • Sign up or amend Direct Debits
  • Report a change of address
  • Search for a Council Tax band

Housing Benefits:

  • View your Housing Benefits online
  • Check payment amounts


  • View your Tenant's details online

Business Rates:

  • Search for a Business Rates Rateable value

To link your accounts, you will need to have created both a My.Watford account and an online Council Tax/Benefits self-service account. If you have already created your Council Tax/Benefits self-service account, you can visit the My.Watford dashboard, where you can follow the instructions to link them together. Once you have completed linking your accounts, you will always be able to access these through your My.Watford account and complete the tasks listed above.

To create your Council Tax/Benefits self-service account, simply follow these steps:

  • Visit the Council Tax/Benefits self-service portal;
  • Click on the Register/Sign In link, displayed in the top-right hand corner;
  • Follow the instructions to set up your account;
  • Once you have created your account, you are then ready to begin linking your accounts using your My.Watford account
  • Visit the accounts dashboard within My.Watford to continue the process.
